Who we are

A national humanitarian organization working in Ethiopia since 2011.

About RACIDA Ethiopia

Rural Agency for Community Initiative Development and Assistance.

RACIDA is a national non-profit, non-governmental and non-religious humanitarian organization, registered and working in Ethiopia since 2011 to enhance the self-reliance, prosperity and dignity of the most vulnerable communities living in the hotspot arid and semi-arid areas of Ethiopia.

RACIDA exists to support pastoralist and agro-pastoralist communities to build better livelihood options and to thrive in peaceful coexistence with each other, through long-term development, resilience building and emergency and crisis response interventions that mitigate the impacts of prevailing shocks and hazards.

Vision

To build resilience and prosperity among the most vulnerable communities living in the ASALs of East and Horn of Africa.

Mission
